this was a very great deal!! so happy with my purchase. i had a professional system installed when my van was new 10 years ago and it was a piece of junk. never worked right from day one but this thing i installed myself and i have not had one bit of trouble with it so far, my kids are so happy to have it after having nothing for 9 years! they wanted 800$ to put one in at a pro shop and i was not gonna spend that kind of money on a 10yr old van. this is a very simple product, no belles and whistles so if you just want a basic dvd player with a great large screen for the money this is an AWESOME value.

We needed to replace an old 7inch unit in our van. After much research and contemplation on whether to go larger or keep the same smaller size, the price became the deciding factor... For just a few dollars more, we were able to get a MUCH bigger screen! We had thought about going for the 20" instead of this 15.9" but after installing it, can't imagine how much bigger that would have been. What a dramatic difference between this and what we previously had! Wow. It was pretty easy to install... only about 2 hours... if you are not replacing an old unit, you will want to spend the cash to have someone professionally install it (because the instructions aren't great and there is no mounting kit/wiring harness.) Our kids love it because everyone, even in the back row can see the picture.As a side note: it's size when open does block our rearview mirror, and partially covers a couple of our ceiling vents, but is WELL WORTH the minor inconveniences.

Take your money and incinerate it instead. The unit just looks cheap and boy is it. The remote stopped working by the second day. The screen had residual glue left over from "protective" film that could not be removed. The entire unit died by end of the week. Additional problems were mostly in the design: The RCA input was located inside the unit so hooking up a game system was impossible. The output to the car's stereo system was on the outside of the unit so visible wires were unavoidable.We shipped it back and asked AudioSavings for a different model. The exact same model was shipped with the same glue on the screen and this time it had scratches too. Didn't bother to install it. Asked for a different model, but were sent the same model AGAIN (third time), did not open it. Asked for a different model, but after several weeks of zero communication, we asked for a full refund. The refund was made promptly.I honestly don't know why reputable manufacturers like Sony, Hitachi, or Panasonic don't make an overhead car dvd player. It seems the only choices are no name companies that make a junk product. Our Boss player before this lasted only a year.
