3Good Enough
By Gunner
There is nothing amazing about this unit. It does everything it says it does. My only complaint is that there is not enough audio control with this unit. You can choose from preset audio levels, but you can't control bass / treble. But, it is very cheap for what it is so it's hard to complain.

1Absolute Piece Of Crap! Waste of Money. Spend More $$ And buy Name Brand
By EDog
This seemed a very good deal its true you get what you pay for! Received in a few days, it was packed in ok shape. Had to have a custom install kit since it's not a standard double din. Quality was ok with the screen, user interface was mediocre. You can't adjust treble or bass. Once installed it face of radio protrudes dash by about an 1". Doesn't read mp3 cds very, very hard to navigate files system. And the best part of all of it, I installed it Monday of this week and this morning it won't turn on and apparently it also stayed on all night in my truck as it killed my battery, jumped vehicle off and radio won't turn on eject DVD, just do nothing at all. So pissed it was for my work truck, but still a few days is all lasted. Overall just go and spend the money and buy a Pioneer. Piece of S**T!

5Exceeded My Expectations!
By Dennis Crews
***Review Update 4 weeks in****Still love it...but one quirk I found. It was nearly impossible to figure out where to adjust the fader, bass, and treble. Searched all over the web and manufacturers site without answers. Finally emailed customer support and got the following answer. Easy but counter intuitive though works fine. Hard for me to find because I bought this to listen to digital music and rarely find myself on the radio screen where you adjust this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The EQ setting need to be set to the off position in order to adjust the bass and the treble. To access the adjustment for the bass and treble you would need to be on the radio screen. At the top of the screen you will notice a small speaker icon. When you press that icon with your finger a small drop menu will come down and say VOL. You continue to press the speaker I con and the selection will change to BASS, TREBLE, BAL, and FADE. You can adjust those function by pressing the + and - buttons.INITIAL REVIEW>>>>>>>>>>I installed this unit into a 2010 Nissan cube. While I am no audiophile, I do like to play my music loud and want the full range of bass and sound. Paired with a Dual powered subwoofer (also bought from Amazon and reviewed separately) it sounds absolutely awesome to me. The touch screen works great and can't believe the features packed into this for the price. I bought this unit because it has two USB inputs (standard in rear and mini USB on front) along with a SD card slot that is accessed behind screen. No special I-pod access, which for me is fine since I don't care anything about that. It does also have a aux input on the front to connect miscellaneous devices. The DVD player also works well, though I can't imagine when I will ever watch anything on it.....just came with the package. Like many of you, I was somewhat apprehensive about the Boss brand. The price just seemed too good to be a high quality unit. Boy was I wrong. I was willing to pay much more for a more name brand unit...but could not find anything that had the features this unit did. I suspect the ability to play digital media will become more main stream soon, but as of yet it seems a little spotty. Was really looking for SD card access, as I prefer that to the thumb drives. I have used both so far and they both work well. One thing to note though, like my wife's factory stereo in her Camry, the reader displays file names from the card rather than the tags on the MP3s. It displays the tagged song names when playing, but lacks the ability to find and sort like a MP3 player. It will trundicate the file names and sometimes is hard to identify the file. I went through and renamed album files with a shortened name to make it easier to identify from the information displayed. The blue tooth works well too, but as of yet I haven't seen the ability to download my phone contacts into it. It has other features like back up camera input that I have not chosen to use so cannot comment on. And finally as always, Amazon has been my retailer of choice for a long time. I always buy with confidence and they have never let me down. If need be, I would pay more for an item from Amazon because of this. Thankfully is almost never the case.
