4Very pleased
By OCDan
My first review, I wanted to drop some info here since I looked all over the internet before purchasing this unit and could not find anything. Yes I bought blind...Initially I was skeptical of buying something other than Pioneer, as that's what I've had since Clarion went downhill in the late 90's. So far I am very pleased with this unit.Pros:Unit looks goodGraphics are simplistic and attractive - no funky colors here, almost stock in appearanceScreen is sharp and clear 800x480 resolutionSound quality is better than expectedVideo bypass is super simple - ground pink wire - no nag screenIncludes everything you need to install and operateFront and rear USB portsSupports 16 gig SD card - haven't tried 32 gig yetPlayed most of the random downloaded movies I put on the SD cardMenus are easy enough to navigateOptional bluetooth works very wellCons:Sticks out a bit from dash - had to modify my factory brackets to flush mountRemote is terribly laid out, and some features only accessible from remote - like aspect and zoomUnit is a bit slow scanning large amounts of mediaTakes about 30 seconds to power off completelyNo automatic dimmerVolume control on unit sometimes lagsGUI not customizableRadio reception slightly worse than othersOnly a 3 band EQ? Really?Media stops playing when you go to settings or source menuWhen Subwoofer out is activated, bass is not sent to the main speakers - turn off sub out and use the rear rca out for subsConclusion:Does way more than the big name brands for less than half the price.I can have a 16 gig SD card full of movies, a 16 gig usb flash drive full of music, AND an ipod hooked up simultaneously. Would I buy this unit again? Definitely.

4Good headunit, great bluetooth clarity
By Tech Guy
Bought this unit to replace a fried Kenwood unit I had. Works well overall, just wish it was a little more responsive when connected to my ipod or iphone. I also wish the album art was a little larger.I did add the Bluetooth module too. And I must say most of the time people I call don't even realize I'm on a speakerphone even when the window is open a bit! Pleased with unit and very pleased with Bluetooth module! Seller was excellent to deal with and very helpful and responsive to comments when I contacted them!

2Just the Basics
By southshore74
I just installed this head unit in a 2009 Honda Civic with no issues at all. Head unit works very well responds quickly to commands. The preset's are not spaced out enough for me though. I did like this unit becauseI like a radio with at least 1 knob on it to control volume or tuning, the knob on this unit controls the volume.Be aware this is a no frills model with no WOW Factor. It has no fancy wallpaper as a background or dancingmarquee on it when it turns on, it's a plain background with very basic icons Radio, CD, Nav, Aux 1,2,3 andUSB. There is no Sat or HD radio Icon, that will fall under the AUX icon. I don't know why some people arecomplaining about the EQ I got it to where I like it , Bass Boost works just fine.If you can afford the extra $70, upgrade to the Pioneer unit, I will be. Rated 2 stars because of the smallpreset icons, no dedicated sat radio icon's and lack of color on the display screen. Blue, White and Black iswhat you get. No Brightness Control. You get what you pay for.I do not know how Crutchfield's stays in business, with there bloated prices on there head units. They areat least $150 over what anybody asks for on Amazon, granted they do know there electronics and are veryhelpful, but I will never buy a Head unit from them.UPDATE 9/25/2012: I will definitely be replacing this unit. This Radio is way to distracting at night withno brightness control. It is on full bright all the time.UPDATE 10/07/2012: Replaced Jenson unit with a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT w/BluetoothLove it, everything is adjustable. Paid $245 on Amazon Look what Crutchfield's has this foryou will see what i mean about the prices.Good Luck
