Sound Storm Laboratories SD720MI Single Din, Motorized, Flip-Out 7-Inch Touchscreen Monitor, Full iPod control, A/V input, USB & SD, Wireless Remote (Black)

Product Description

The SD720MI is a user-friendly, feature-packed in-dash multimedia entertainment system featuring a DVD/MP3/CD player, full iPod control (from the touch screen), a rear USB port with hard-wired cable, a front mini-USB port with 6" full-sized USB adapter included, an SD/MMC memory card port, and a front AUX input. The SD720MI is equipped with a high quality 7" digital TFT panel which produces a beautiful picture, which can be adjusted to various angles for optimum viewing. The unit can be controlled by the on-board buttons, the touch screen, or the wireless remote control. Lock into your favorite radio stations with the PLL synthesized tuner that gives you 30 total station presets (18 FM and 12 AM). The tuner is also switchable from USA to European frequencies. The dual RCA outputs and subwoofer preamp output make it easier for the user to enjoy the full frequency range of sound and gives the user control over the levels of those ranges. A Sound Storm crossover, such as the SX210 or SX310 would increase that flexibility by allowing the user to assign specific frequencies to specific speakers. The SD720MI is a great foundation on which to build a home theater system in your automobile. Combined with Sound Storm Laboratories (SSL) amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers, awe inspiring mobile theater can become a reality. Begin building your SSL system today and you will learn that…everything else is just noise.

4happy what i got
By kag
I never had a stereo that had screen in it so yeah.Pros: Has a cable coming from the back for an Iphone/ any apple hook up. charges your device. im putting that because i read some doesnt. Has a cable coming from the back for a USB. Has a remote. You can balance speaker to you liking. Has a bunch of other connection other than the normal wires needed for a stereo hook up, like rear cam. video in and out (yellow cable) 4 RCA hook ups for speakers, sub hook up. Has a front Mini front usb and AUX hook up. Has mini SD card reader ( i never use it yet). screen can tilt, and the button is on dash. Dvd player that remember the last spot you was at even if power was completely disconnected. wires were already ready for splicing (which i wouldn't do) or male and female connectors. screen has a good picture. it sound better than my last stereo. can play movies while drivingcons. when playing the ipod u can't go back to the main menu without the music stopping. when you start up the stereo again it doesnt play from the last spot. i only tried one but it doesnt read a external hard drive. if connect audio to the audio in (red and white RCA) u will get a little static when connected to AUX and your rev you engine. its small though. only have 5 background to chose from.Over all i recommend this stereo people that doesnt care about "name brand". it must be a good sign if i pick this over other radio that had reviews when this had none.

3Sound Storm SD720MI
By DBBRONCO
I purchased this unit and it was the first time I personally have had a dvd stereo but have had friends who love theirs. It was a very basic install but the deck sits into my dash on my '96 Bronco a little far so if you "click" it into the provided sleeve it will touch the top of the dash pad before it raises completely up after it comes out. I had to use the provided removal tools to release the deck from the sleeve to pull it forward a little so it would clear but that defeats the purpose of security. I heard there is a way to install a spacer "behind" the sleeve that moves it forward a little but as of yet haven't located one and will probably make my own. The unit works well but if you turn the key off the screen will completely go back into the unit and then return if you want to still listen to it. Meaning if you turn off the truck when you get home but turn the key back to accessory you have to wait for it to "slowly" shut down and turn back on and it does this with any interruption of power. I have mine hooked up to a camera so I can watch my front axle when off-road via a toggle switch, but when you flip the switch to access it the volume raises up 2-3 notches and depending on how loud you were already listening to it that is sometimes very loud. The volume knob adjusts "per click" so it sort of has little levels you can go through but not in between so once again if you have it turned up it may be a little quiet but the next click is too much. I would say as a first time purchaser of a DVD stereo I am basically pretty happy with the color and screen it could just be quicker. I have the two "rear" cables running to my glove-box so I can hook-up my I-pod or stick and leave it inside out of view which is nice, less clutter on the dash and prying eyes. The price was great, it doesn't skip, and has good power. I bought some TS-A1674R Pioneer 6 1/2" door speakers here too and will be buying some TS-D6802R Pioneer 6x8's for the rears and one of the MRX-F30 Alpine 600 amps and a Pioneer TS-SWX251 12" low profile sub to mount under the rear bench in the Bronco. The deck will power the speakers and the amp will power the sub and everything should sound great together! For the money I don't think you could find a better deal on a DVD stereo with this quality especially if you are just entering the DVD market and are on a budget and want to piece a nice system together that will sound great but not rock the truck next to you or cost an arm and a leg........
