not a good buy!!!

i was actually dumb enough to install two of these. the first one i purchased on amazon. it was professionally installed. it worked for about an hour. then the sound works but no picture. just a blue screen. amazon like always was great with the replacement. they emailed me a return label for the old dvd player and overnighted a new one and i got it the next day. i had the old one removed and the new one installed at the same time. this one does not work either. the second one i got has a different problem. it works for about 30 minutes and then powers off. it does turn back on, on its own. it restarts the dvd were it left off. but then only plays for about 2 minutes at a time after that and powers off and on. i have spent a lot of money on install on these. ugh!! i just want a dvd for the kids in the van to keep them happy.

We bought the 15 inch Pyle flip down for a 16 hour car trip with our three small kids. We used it briefly for a few minutes before we left, but as soon as we were on our trip, the DVD reader stopped working completely. The remote would only work some of the time. So we returned the DVD player when we got back from our trip (which was miserable without the DVD player!) and had it replaced with the same Pyle DVD player, hoping that we just were unlucky. Well the second DVD player's screen didn't work. It was black, and you could only see the picture if you were really really close to the screen. We emailed Pyle's customer service and never received any correspondence. The sound quality was terrible too. Don't buy this! It's crappy and defective, and their customer service is just as bad. We went with another brand.

We thought this would be a great deal and bought it for our new Jeep.We dropped the car and the DVD player off to get it installed at a professional place and they've called us to tell us that everything works great except it won't play any DVD.It just kept rejecting them.I am so glad that they've checked that thing first before putting it in the car.Our brand new Jeep would have been ruined.I've returned that item and we've went with a flip down from Car Toys.At the end I'm glad we did and everything works the way it's supposed to be with a lifetime warranty on the installation and a year warranty on the flip down.Sometimes it's worth to pay a little more.
