Now this IS a good unit,functions very well,to date I have installed 5 and havent needed to uninstall one,carries loads well pumps out some volume,those who are purists would probaly add an equalizer(room in dash permitting) but is a good stand alone stereo,as I always remind people,it is single din and does only have a 3" screen so if your factory radio is set low in your dash the screen is kinda redundant,if it is in the middle or high in the dash then this is a winner for you,for price,quality and durability,ALWAYS use a Metra type harness as these units DO get hot,makesure when installing you DO NOT allow the wires to sit UNDER the radio,again these do get hot and use the supplied carriage tray with this unit,no client has complained with problems on this unit,I recommend where they order from when it arrives I install it makesure it functions well,(use an AVATAR disc to check all the colors),again a great buy for the money conscious,checklist everything in the box before starting install,make sure the two screws are still in place upon arrival and all bags are sealed with any and all parts complete. Screen is crystal clear and so is the sound even on stock speakers(does depend on the stock as to how high you can turn this up without distortion)..............a good buy at a great price.

Its an ok device

this DVD indash player is nice. the buttons are a little cheap and the most annoing part of this radio is the blue screen of death. WHat i mean is when you are not watching a movie the screen is going to be blue at all times and boy is it bright at night. that nice red car does not show up and you CAN NOT CHANGE IT AT ALL. the EQ's are not good at all. alos the auxilary sterio input on the front was mono tone. only played on the left speaker plays. its better to set it up yourself. but other than that. its an ok product. for $50 more dollars you can by the pyle 7" screen with bluetooth.

I also have the problem of it only playing out of the left speakers from the front AUX port. Also it does this weird s*** with the screen sometimes where it it like fuzzy on the top of the screen. All you have to do to fix it is flip the screen down and back up but its still annoying. Its alright for the price.

It works, but so do you! You'll be resetting it often if it's like mine.

I bought my unit last year to use in my SUV, an inexpensive way to replace a much more expensive system that came built in.Unfortunately, although it does operate, every time that I pass anyone who has a similar type camera transmitting, the system locks up and won't do anything until I actually hit the reset button and then go through the process of reprogramming settings. This also happens just driving by certain businesses that have security cameras that it picks up. Today, I actually saw a young boy getting a haircut while sitting at an intersection. Of course, the GPS doesn't work when the camera is active.It does keep your favorites which helps, but the other settings get reset to default.It does have an excellent back up view when in reverse, but it's more like an ordinary camera with a panoramic view, than specifically a "rear view" camera with the grid lines that most have. Still, gives a great view in daytime and it's just a little bit of a grainy picture at night.Extras: After loading a 2G MMC/flash memory card, it worked with the programs, but kept giving messages of needing more memory for the GPS system & wanted to use my memory card. Questionable at best, I expected the unit to at least operate on it's own built in storage and that bothers me. It does for the most part, and no mention when the card isn't installed.GPS: Quickly boots up & identifies the location. Fairly good routing, choices are limited and a bit more trouble than getting used to a TomTom, or for that matter, my Magellan Roadmate. You can still get downloaded voices & color schemes, but the speaker isn't well designed apparently as it sounds very scratchy for most instructions and especially if you try to listen to any good music on it.I got mine for less than 100.00, so I really can't complain. I am spending the big bucks though-to get the OEM system completed, then I'll probably use my TomTom again or the Magellan Roadmate 700 that I still have. I only bought this for the B/U camera function and didn't want 2 units.Good luck whichever way you go.

Save your money

Like many "combo" units, the VR3 does not do either function well. The color on the camera is poor. The scope of the camera is very narrow. Because the color is so poor, I find I have trouble defining the images I see on the screen. The GPS is impossible to understand. I have read and reread the instruction book and still cannot make many of the functions work. The audio is not very loud. I drive a diesel pick-up and I cannot hear the unit at all. In daylight, I also cannot see the screen very well. I previously had a wireless back-up camera only and it worked extremely well. I paid about $79.00 for it. It was a different brand. I sold the truck and let the camera go with it. I also have an older Garmin GPS with which I am very pleased. I thought the VR3 would be a good unit to replace both. Wrong ! I am going to buy a back-up camera like the one I had and go back to my Garmin.

Works Adequately

The total unit works as described, but be careful to use an uncoiled car adapter to power the screen. If you use a spare car adapter with a coil cord you will get interference through the wire and get a snowy picture overlay over the actual transmission.

you get what you pay for

When I bought this head unit. The first thing I did was read the manual. This is a very generic manual and is only helpful for basic operations. The unit ass all applications as advertised. But things like the NAVIGATION system does not work without the connetor.the DVD sound quality is poor. If I were to watch a DVD the volume has to be turned up almost all the way. When listening to a CD, running the Ipod, using the radio, the sound quality is great. I like the option of being able to listen to the radio and keeping the display off but I you can't do it while listening to the ipod. Another problem is the the headunit sometimes has a problem reading the Ipod.This product has its good qualities and a few bad. I am not disappointed with my purchase. Its a good basic operations stereo (DVD, Ipod,Radio) I can't complain for $175. You get what you pay for.

Good system. For the price this is one of the better deals your going to find for a in dash touch screen car entertainment system. Instructions were not the best but I had mine installed professionally anyways, Picture is clear - I suggest you add a back up camera to this setup

it's Excellent purchase for me. quality & price is very good. it looks very nice in my mercedes-benz E-260 2001 y. video quality is best. display look like really picture. sound is very clear. I recommende you to buy this one. but you should now that NAVIGATION doesn't work. TV I don't know.

This is such a sweet monitor that I just had to tell people what I think of it. First off, it shipped to me very quickly. In fact, I think that they sent it out the same day that I ordered. The hook-ups are totally well-made, thus the installation is a cake-walk. The screen resolution is super high, enabling me to watch movies right off of an SD card.

Portable monitor

An out and out deal of the year! I got this monitor last month, and I use it on a daily basis to watch movies. I like the screen size, as it fits neatly in my van, right on the dash, and when I want to, I can simply fold it up and put it away. The remote control is easy to use and has the right kinds of functions- the power and mute buttons are near the top and color-coded!

inferior product

Purchased, and returned this product, and it's replacement. Simple hookup to my canon t2i camera resulted in garbled image, and feedback noise. Connected to my Wii to make sure it want just me. Only to have the same result. Not worth the effort.

Wow! The picture on this Lcd is unbelievable! I replaced my older model flip down with this motorized monitor, very cool. Hooked up to my rear view camera, no problem. Every option on this monitor works perfect, high quality low price, can't beat it.

awesome dvd radio

Had this pyle dvd radio plts76du for about a month now and its awesome the sound is clear and powerful 320watts everything works on this radio the aux sound for ipod or even a netbook computer with low sound just to transfer your sound through the radio speakers plays great the usb works great with the flasah drive mp3 awesome also the sd card the dvd screen is flawless in normal lit coditions but if theres alot of sunlight aimed directly at the screen the screen looks a little milky other than that this dvd radio is awesome the dvd plays great the picture quality especially at night is awesome, havent connected the back up camera yet but radio shop tested and was okay.
